Externships provide an excellent opportunity to work alongside practicing attorneys and learn from direct work experience—while earning 2 academic credits. Externships are available with approved not-for-profit and government organizations, entertainment companies, and state and federal judges. Offerings span a wide variety of practice areas, and students universally praise their externship experiences as being among their most valuable experiences in law school.

For information on the externship program, including a list of approved externships, an explanation of course and registration requirements and restrictions, and contact information, please visit the online EXTERNSHIP GUIDE FOR STUDENTS.

An extended Externship Handbook is available via the "Document Library" section of SYMPLICITY*.  Current students should review the extended Externship Handbook for the most up-to-date information on specific application procedures and deadlines for individual externships.

*Note: Symplicity is a career portal where all career related documents are made available to Seton Hall Law students. Students/Alumni who do not have a Symplicity login account should submit the "Symplicity Registration" form here.  For more information on the Symplicity portal, please contact the Office of Career Services (OCS) at 973-642-8746.
